She spent the following ten years working at Kings College Hospital and private hospitals in London, treating neurological inpatients and outpatients before training as a case manager and has now graduated from a senior case manager to a lead case manager.

Thamara has gained invaluable experience in assessing and managing clients who have:

  • Spinal injuries all levels (Adult)
  • Traumatic Brain injury (Children and Adults)
  • Parkinsons
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Cerebral Palsy (Children and Adults)
  • Stroke
  • Complex Orthopaedic Injuries (Adult)
  • Amputees (Adult)

Thamara has an excellent understanding of the role of each discipline involved in the rehabilitation process, including neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists as well as with nurses and neurological consultants. She has extensive experience with sourcing, appointing and closely reviewing a bespoke multidisciplinary team for her clients, and works to a goal based and measurable platform.

She completes comprehensive assessments and sets up rehabilitation programmes for clients, setting rehabilitation goals and case management plans. These are realistic and clearly identify each client’s individual rehabilitation potential.  Thamara has a proven track record as a senior and now a lead case manager who has strong involvement in discharge planning with multidisciplinary teams, to ensure rehabilitation continues in the community.

Thamara is a quality focused and client centred practitioner, who as a case manager can demonstrate progress being achieved, with clear documentation to evidence how best to meet a client’s injury related needs.  She works very closely with clients’ family members and carers, to help facilitate education across a range of client needs, specifically for clients with catastrophic and life changing injuries.

She is proactive and an excellent communicator, facilitating an interactive and interdisciplinary approach to case management. She is experienced and knowledgeable working with both privately funded and statutory funded programmes of care, support and rehabilitation.

Thamara works with both adults and children with complex and life changing injuries. She works holistically with clients and their families and has successfully recruited and retained directly employed care and support staff for CCMS Ltd clients, adhering and complying with regulations such as GDPR, CQC and Employment Law.
