Martha is an experienced occupational therapist and Case Manager with a wealth of experience in both adults and paediatrics. Martha graduated from the University of Brighton with a first-class honours degree in occupational therapy and has since worked in a wide range of settings, including acute inpatient, outpatients, community rehabilitation, schools and homes.
Martha is able to provide case management for the following clients:
- Traumatic Brain injury (Paediatric, Young Adults)
- Cerebral Palsy (Paediatric)
- Stroke (Children, Adults)
- Progressive Neurological Diseases (Adults)
- Learning disabilities (Children and Adult)
- Visual Impairment (Children, Adult)

Martha’s clinical expertise is working with children and young adults with cerebral palsy. She also has worked extensively with children, young people and adults after Brain Injury. Martha has specialist skills in Lycra splinting, fine motor skills, handwriting assessment and treatment, school support, fatigue management, postural management and specialist equipment prescriptions.
Martha is a passionate and enthusiastic professional with a continued desire for knowledge and learning. She has completed various post graduate training in Makaton and Chailey Postural Management to ensure she is delivering the best possible service to children and young people. Martha has enrolled on to a Post Graduate Certificate in Sensory Integration, to support children with complex sensory needs.
As a Case Manager, Martha co-ordinates all aspects of the client’s care, leisure and daily life needs in a client centred and holistic manner. Through previous case management work, Martha has an understanding of the life-changing effects of catastrophic injury for the client and their family. Martha has a sensitive, positive and pro-active approach and is committed to working with clients to achieve their personalised goals. She is effective at problem-solving obstacles that arise in everyday life of a person affected by catastrophic injury and is able to communicate and share these ideas with the multi-disciplinary team.
Martha is experienced at sourcing and appointing appropriately qualified therapists to assist with her clients’ rehabilitation pathway. She has also had extensive input in the recruitment, induction, supervision and monitoring of personal care staff/buddies.
Martha is passionate and dedicated to providing high levels of client assessment, report writing and evidence-based recommendations. This has included input into legal reports, EHCP’s, monthly case management summaries and yearly reviews. As a Case Manager and Occupational Therapist alongside each other, she has the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously whilst still maintaining high levels of quality and responsiveness.
Martha is married with two young children and enjoys time outside with her family. She has a Border Collie “Duke” who joins the family for outdoor adventures, camping trips and walks.
Martha is a marathon runner, entering as many competitions throughout the year as possible and always trying to beat the previous time!
Martha identifies the importance of having a balanced lifestyle, which incorporates time to relax and unwind. At the weekend she will often be found in the kitchen baking with the children or sitting by the seaside with fish and chips.
