EXPERIENCE

Sudha has 23 years of experience caring for patients and their families in acute surgical and neurological illnesses in acute care and rehabilitation settings. Currently working as a senior manager in the NHS. She has extensive neuro expertise working with patients and families who haves suffered from traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury. Sudha has attended various seminars as part of her employment on how to support patients and families following brain injury, as well as how to support families coping with life-changing events.

She spent years working as a ward sister at an Oxfordshire level 1 neuro rehab hospital, where Sudha obtained significant experience organising the Multi-Disciplinary Team for the best possible outcome for the patient and family.

Sudha has been involved in best interest decision making, complaint handling, staff training, clinical governance, and complex discharge meetings. She also has experience with complex neuro-management, such as ventilator care, a specialist in tracheotomy management peg management and peg feeding.

While working in the neuro rehabilitation unit, she was key in formulating the unit's enhanced observation, 1:1 policy and was pivotal to arranging safe discharge with follow up.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Sudha completed her nursing education in India before moving to the United Kingdom in 2003. Since arriving in the United Kingdom, Sudha has completed mentorship course, neuro course, and most recently, a post-graduation in leadership from Northampton University.

Sudha lives in Oxfordshire with her husband and two children. Aside from work, she enjoys going on long walks with her friends and family. She enjoys cycling with her son as well as playing board games.
