EXPERIENCE

Emma is an experienced registered nurse and clinical case manager. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings and specialities, both within hospitals, rehabilitation units and the community.

As a clinical case manager, Emma works with a number of clients with a variety of complex cases to include adults with cerebral palsy / acquired brain injuries and orthopaedic injuries, providing clinical oversight, staff support and training.

Emma focuses on supporting clients and their families to overcome the physical and psychological impact of their injuries by managing multi disciplinary teams of treating therapists, rehabilitation assistants / support workers ensuring a collaborative and cohesive approach to achieve the best outcomes.

With her experience of managing critical care within a complex care unit, specialising in clients with learning disabilities and brain injuries who required management of ventilatory equipment, tracheostomy and complex health needs, she is well placed.

Qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2005 Emma specialised in critical care, working within Intensive Care Units and high dependency units.

She has worked overseas in Australia for two years as a remote nurse in the Australian Outback and as a general nurse and emergency first responder working onboard cruise ships.

Upon her return to the UK, she worked within a rapid assessment team which introduced the importance of rehabilitation following traumatic events. Emma then obtained the position of clinical lead for a community complex care provider.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Emma’s hobbies include outdoor activities, family travels and country walks with the family pooch! Her passion is weightlifting strength and conditioning for which she trains to a competitive level.
