EXPERIENCE

Rebecca is a registered nurse with over 19 years’ experience in the community, emergency departments and within Intensive Therapy Units stabilising clients in the initial weeks / months prior to commencing rehabilitation programmes.

Rebecca manages all aspects of ventilator dependant clients within the community including planning and prioritising care needs which are incorporated into the clients’ daily activities. She has extensive experience working with spinal cord injured clients in their home and ITU settings; caring for their needs whilst ventilated and managing additional complications associated with ventilation. Rebecca excels at goal setting for this client group and monitoring rehabilitation as needs change.

Rebecca case manages clients who have sustained a spinal cord injury, at all levels, children who have Cerebral Palsy or other birth related injuries. She is also experienced in working with clients who have sustained polytrauma and complex orthopaedic injuries.

In previous roles she has also worked for Community Healthcare in Bournemouth where Rebecca was responsible for producing and implementing care plans across a number of care packages as well as teaching and assessing the competency of care workers within the clinical setting.

As a nurse in ITU and emergency departments including Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, she supported clients following trauma, post-surgical complications, burns, spinal conditions, renal failure and other acute medical complications.

Rebecca was also responsible for the training of emergency department nurses in the care of critically ill patients prior to their transfer to the ITU.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Rebecca is a lover of the great outdoors, whether that be in the garden or out on a walk with her two children and their dog, Fred.  She loves a coffee shop to sit and people watch or to read a good book.
