In addition, she worked alongside a team of Consulting Engineers providing Jersey's building industry with independent advice on disability and access issues. During this time Verity established analytic assessment and report writing skills and the ability to present succinct information in a pressurised setting.

In 2006 Verity established Independent Living Consultants (Jersey) Limited. In partnership with a nurse, they manage a team of multi-disciplinary health professionals working together to help their clients to meet their potential for living safely and independently within their home environment. They work with clients with a variety of disabilities such as head injuries, orthopaedic conditions, medical conditions and clients who are terminally ill.

As well as providing detailed community based assessment, they develop and implement care packages. This includes directly recruiting and supervising carers to ensure that their clients' individual needs are being met. They offer a range of in-house therapeutic treatments and work closely with the Islands statutory and private health and social care providers.

In 2008 Verity began working as an expert witness. She writes complex medico-legal reports assessing the cost of injuries caused by accidents and clinical negligence. As well as evaluating past present and future care, her reports make recommendations for transport, equipment, adaptations, housing and miscellaneous costs such as heating, holidays and therapy.

In 2008 Verity began working as a case manager and work with both adults and children who have experienced head injuries, spinal injuries and complex orthopaedic injuries. Using her established network of Channel Island based colleagues and her knowledge of the Island's unique health and social care provisions, she is able to ensure that her clients' requirements are implemented in a concise and efficient manner.
