Charlotte has worked as a Case Manager since 2012, supporting children and young adults with acquired brain injuries, cerebral palsy, and complex healthcare needs. She has extensive experience working in partnership with clients and their families, taking a proactive and professional approach to ensure individual needs are met appropriately.
Charlotte works closely with wider multidisciplinary teams, education providers, statutory services, and adult social care settings to ensure appropriate support is in place to achieve each client’s educational, therapeutic, and social goals, maximising quality of life and independence. Prior to this, Charlotte worked as a nurse and team leader for a young person with complex healthcare needs who was invasively ventilator dependent. This role involved working closely with the client and family, maintaining high standards of care, inducting new team members, and supervising teams of nurses and carers.
Charlotte also has experience managing a county-wide community continence service, undertaking continence assessments, leading toileting programmes for children and young people with delayed toileting skills, and overseeing the provision of continence products. Her community nursing background includes working within special education support services for clients with physical and learning disabilities, many of whom had complex healthcare needs.
Following qualification, Charlotte gained experience working on a general paediatric ward before moving to a neuro and reconstructive surgery ward, developing a strong clinical foundation in caring for children and young people with complex medical needs.
Charlotte enjoys time with her grown up children and extended family.
