Christina qualified as Children’s Nurse in 2001. She has experience in both Neonatal and Paediatric Intensive Care, and as Matron for an acute trust, however the vast majority of her career has been working with children and young people who have complex needs in community settings.
She brings a wealth of proven experience in providing clinical care to children and young people with complex needs including: cerebral palsy, acquired and traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, tracheostomy, ventilation, enteral feeding, severe communication difficulties and a wide range of other care needs.
Christina has advanced skills in assessment of needs, risk assessing and person-centred care planning. She is passionate about holistic, person centred, safe, high-quality care. She is highly experienced in setting up and manging packages of care. Through her clinical leadership roles, she is highly experienced in supporting patients and their families from diagnosis through to bereavement, leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to meet patient needs with measurable outcomes, managing budgets and report writing. She brings clinical credibility, operational insight, and an unwavering commitment to advancing patient outcomes and quality of life.
Christina is a highly experienced and versatile Senior Nurse with over 24 year’s experience of managing complex cases and a proven record of service development and clinical governance in acute, community, aesthetic, and medico-legal settings. She has held senior leadership roles across both NHS and private settings, driving measurable improvements in CQC ratings, patient safety, patient experience and service efficiency.
Christina is committed professional development and often attends courses and conferences to keep her knowledge and skills up to date. She is an organised and dedicated worker who responds quickly and professionally at all times. She prides herself on her flexible, can do attitude to meeting client needs.
Outside of work, Christina spends her free time socialising with family and friends. She enjoys swimming and travelling to warming climates as much as possible.
