Kate began her care manager and complex care career in 2018 and continues to manage complex cases involving spinal and brain injuries, including both acquired and traumatic conditions. In addition to individual case management, she oversees broader clinical management responsibilities, ensuring coordinated, high-quality care delivery.
Her background in acute care, with extensive experience in Emergency Department and Critical Care settings, underpins her strong clinical judgement and effective decision-making within case-managed environments.In 2023, Kate completed Level 5 Safeguarding training, further strengthening her ability to support vulnerable individuals and manage risk safely within community-based case management. She has also undertaken training in the medico-legal process and has a sound understanding of her responsibilities under the Civil Procedure Rules in relation to expert witness work. This ensures professional accountability and the provision of accurate, robust reporting within her case management practice.
Alongside her role as a Case Manager, Kate is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse, holding an RN Dip HE from the University of Wolverhampton and an SLAiP mentorship qualification. She brings 19 years of experience in nursing, case management, and the coordination of complex care. She specialises in planning, implementing, and reviewing comprehensive care packages, working collaboratively with fellow Case Managers, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and Continuing Healthcare Commissioners to ensure high-quality, person-centred outcomes.Kate is committed to delivering the highest standards of care to service users, patients, and their families.
With excellent organisational and time management skills, and a calm, confident approach under pressure, she effectively coordinates multidisciplinary input, manages competing priorities, and advocates for individual needs to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care.
